Organic Sunflower
The organic Sunflower, botanically known as Heliantus annuus, is the large-seeded variety of our sunflowers. In just a couple of weeks, it develops sturdy, bright green leaves. With their sweet, slightly earthy aroma and juicy, crunchy texture, you'll never want to be without them in your recipes.
How can I grow it?
Growing organic sunflower sprouts and microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
Before soaking and sowing, we recommend refrigerating the seeds for 2-3 days; this will stimulate their germination, allowing you to obtain a faster and more uniform harvest.
After removing the seeds from the refrigerator, soak them in cold water for about 10-12 hours, then drain and dry them gently. Once sown, store them in the dark for the first 4-6 days, while they germinate.
By watering at least twice a day, your organic Sunflower microgreens will be ready to harvest and enjoy in 12-14 days.
How can I eat it?
Girasole's organic microgreens have a delicate flavor, with a light earthy and nutty aftertaste, which enhances your recipes without overpowering the flavor of other foods. Their crunchy texture makes them perfect not only as an addition to your favorite hot or cold dishes, but also on their own as a simple snack or a base for salads.
Organic sunflower seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten, and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, with a temperature between 8° and 20° C, protected from atmospheric agents, changes in humidity and sunlight.
