Organic Corn
Organic corn microgreens, botanically known as Zea mays, are guaranteed to be a success: their seeds grow in just a few days, giving rise to long, tapered leaves that fade from yellow to bright green depending on the light they receive during cultivation. Rich in nutrients—especially vitamins A and C, potassium, and magnesium—they have a sweet, tender flavor reminiscent of traditional corn kernels.
How can I grow it?
Producing organic corn microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
Start by soaking your organic seeds in cold water for 6-8 hours. Then drain them, dry them thoroughly, and place them on your preferred substrate. Cover them with a lid and leave them in the dark for the first few days, until the first sprouts appear. After that, you can move them to a light source and continue growing, watering little and often. After about 10 days, you can harvest and enjoy your microgreens.
How can I eat it?
Organic corn microgreens have a tender, slightly crunchy texture and a delicate flavor reminiscent of classic grains. We recommend eating them raw to preserve their rich texture and nutrients: try them as an addition to sandwiches, smoothies, and salads, or simply as a snack.
Organic corn seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, with a temperature between 8° and 20° C, protected from atmospheric agents, changes in humidity and direct sunlight.
