Description
Organic Lupine
Lupine seeds, botanical name Lupinus albus, develop very distinctive looking leaves: thick, crispy stems, two juicy cotyledons and large, star-shaped, bright green leaves. They can be grown in just a few days and are also a very rich source of vegetable protein.
How can I grow it?
Growing Lupine microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
Firstly, soak your seeds for a period of 6-8 hours. After that, drain them and sow them in the substrate of your choice (potting soil would be ideal). Place them in the dark and sprinkle them with water, taking care not to create waterlogging, until they have sprouted in 4-6 days. After that, move them into the light and continue to water them; after a total of 10-14 days, your organic Lupine microgreens will be ready to be harvested and enjoyed.
How can I eat it?
Lupine microgreens are characterised by their star-shaped leaves and delicate, nutty flavour. They are therefore an excellent ingredient for salads, sandwiches, main courses and side dishes, or a perfect edible garnish for your recipes, from entrée to dessert.
Organic Lupine seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool and ventilated place, with temperature between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, humidity changes and sunlight.
