Description
Organic Corn Salad
Organic Corn Salad microgreens, botanically known as Valerianella locusta, are highly valued for their versatility in cooking. They are characterised by a rather robust leaf apparatus and round, bright green leaves.
How can I grow it?
Producing organic Corn Salad microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
The seeds grow quickly, do not need soaking and develop better if sown in soil.
For the best germination, we recommend keeping them in the dark for the first 5/7 days. After 10/12 days in total, the organic Corn Salad microgreens will be fully ripened and ready to be enjoyed.
If you want to produce baby-leaf, however, keep watering the sprouts a couple of times a day. In just one month you will have a perfect Corn Salad and you will no longer have to go to the supermarket to buy it.
How can I eat it?
Organic Corn Salad microgreens are fresh and crunchy with a light nutty aftertaste. They are ideal as a base for your salads or as a garnish for main courses.
Organic Corn Salad seeds may contain traces of soya, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, at a temperature between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, changes in humidity and sunlight.
