Description
Organic Fennel
Organic Fennel seeds, botanical name Foeniculum vulgare, are a classic variety of Mediterranean culinary tradition. They grow leaves that are thin but rich in flavour and nutrients such as vitamin C, fibre, iron and calcium. Their liquorice flavour tends to increase as the seedling matures, so take small samples during cultivation so you can harvest your microgreens at the perfect time.
How can I grow it?
Producing organic Fennel sprouts and microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
We recommend sowing the Fennel seeds in soil and keeping them in the dark for the first 5/6 days of germination. In order to bring out the fresh, intense flavour of Fennel and to grow it properly, after the first week you can move the tray into the light and wait 12/14 days to harvest delicious organic Fennel microgreens.
How can I eat it?
Organic Fennel sprouts and microgreens, with their fresh flavour reminiscent of aniseed, are the perfect natural addition to any course, especially as a garnish to your meat and fish dishes, or as a creative addition to desserts.
Organic Fennel seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, with temperature between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, changes in humidity and sunlight.
