Organic Leek seeds, botanical name Allium porrum, are the medium-flavored onion alternative in the liliaceae family. The intense spring onion flavor and aroma of this family make leeks, Chinese leeks, and onions highly sought after and valued worldwide.
Leek shoots and microgreens are very delicate and sensitive, so we recommend storing it in a sheltered environment with regulated and even airflow.
Once harvested, the pungent yet delicate flavor of leek will give your dishes a unique and unrepeatable flavor.

How can I grow it?
Producing organic Leek seeds requires some patience, but with a few little tricks and a little waiting you will be able to get wonderful microgreens.
Before soaking and sowing, the little trick we give you is to keep the seed in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 days. This step will cause the germination will of the Leek seeds to awaken allowing you to get a quick and even harvest.
After removing the seeds from the refrigerator, soak the organic Leek (in cold water) for 5 to 6 hours.
You will be able to harvest the organic Leek sprouts after 5/7 days.
It takes 12/15 days for the microgreens to be produced, during which time the Leek gives off an intense and pleasant aroma that will fill your kitchen.

How can I eat it?
Organic Leek sprouts and microgreens, thanks to their unique flavor, are a real treat to eat raw or to combine with those dishes that need an extra sharp taste.

Organic Leek seeds may contain traces of, soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, with temperature between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, changes in humidity and sunlight.
