Organic Anaheim Chili Pepper
The Anaheim chili pepper is a variety of Capsicum annuum native to Mexico. The fruit, 15-18 cm long, has medium flesh and a green skin that turns increasingly red as it ripens. Thanks to its low heat, this variety is particularly versatile in the kitchen and suitable for even the most sensitive palates.
How can I grow it?
Plant the seeds in the pot, about 1 cm deep, and cover them with soil. Make sure to maintain proper humidity so that the substrate is neither dry nor soggy. Cover them with plastic wrap and poke a few holes. Place the container in a warm place to encourage germination.
The first shoots may appear in 2-3 weeks; when they appear, remove the film and water them regularly, leaving them in sunlight.
Your Anaheim peppers will be ready in about three months: you'll know this by their color, somewhere between green and red, and by how easily they come off the plant.
How can I eat it?
The Anaheim chili pepper has a sweet, fruity flavor. Since it's a fairly large and mildly spicy variety, you can use it in a variety of ways: try it roasted, stuffed, or chopped to add a little kick to all your dishes.
It is recommended to wear gloves when handling chili peppers to avoid skin irritation.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, with a temperature between 8° and 20° C, protected from atmospheric agents, changes in humidity, and sunlight.
