Organic Valerian seeds are among the most sought after for producing both baby leaves and the adult vegetable.
Over the years, they have also been increasingly used to create non-GMO microgreens: these, with very green, crunchy leaves and a hazelnut aftertaste, are appreciated for their versatility in the kitchen.

Description

Organic Valerian

Organic valerian microgreens, botanically known as Valerianella locusta, are highly prized, especially for their culinary versatility. They are characterized by robust foliage and round, bright green leaves.

How can I grow it?

Producing organic Valeriana microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
The seeds grow quickly, do not require soaking and develop best if sown in soil.
For best germination, we recommend keeping them in the dark for the first 5-7 days. After 10-12 days in total, the organic valerian microgreens will be fully mature and ready to eat.
If you want to grow baby leaves, however, continue watering the sprouts a couple of times a day: in just a month you'll have perfect Valerian and you won't have to go to the supermarket to buy it anymore.

How can I eat it?

Valeriana's organic microgreens are fresh and crunchy, with a light nutty aftertaste. They're ideal as a base for salads or as a garnish for main courses.

Organic Valerian seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten, and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, with a temperature between 8° and 20° C, protected from atmospheric agents, changes in humidity and sunlight.
